2012 Annual User Forum

The Four Rooms of Change® Annual User Forum was held September 7-9 2012. This year it was held at Brygghuset a converted Brewery in Stockholm. The theme of the Conference was the interaction between Contentment and Inspiration – individual and organizational. There were around 65 user forum members and their guest participating.

During the opening presentation given by the users at the Conference on Wednesday, it was discovered that there was more than 300 years of experience in the use of the Four Rooms of Change® present. This fact was validated in the subsequent work sessions.

Day 1 – The afternoon

Day 1 was marked by a “speed dating” session that generated contacts for meaningful conversations in the following days. There were also four case studies presented with subsequent discussions. The group created a collective mind-map to identify the trends and tendencies in society and working life that are affecting the Conference’s theme. Bengt Lindström and Marie Lindgren presented the newly developed electronic newsletter and the highly anticipated
website that will be officially opened shortly.

Eva Widegren and Bengt Lindström managed the conference for the three days.

Peter Sommerstein - Modernizing Two Television Stations in Vietnam

Using the Introduction to Four Rooms of Change® and Organization Barometer® as part of a project in Vietnam, where the work has begun to modernize two television stations. "It could just as easily been in any common place in Sweden” according to Peter.

Catherine presented a case study where Team Barometer ™ has been used successfully.

He presented a project where the effect of the use of the Four Rooms was measured by another analytical instrument.

Drusilla Copeland- The Four Rooms of Change® in School

Drusilla presented the status of the school project in Australia having just returned home from there. The Children Four Rooms of Change ™ is more widely spread and with more spectacular results and experiences.

The evening’s festivities started with a tribute to Eva Widegren celebrating a milestone birthday along with her ten years anniversary with A&L Partners AB, which included a slideshow. Following that, there was a wonderful dinner, mingling and dancing.

Thursday, September 6 the members of the Four Rooms of Change User Forum worked with the conference theme that included using the Personal Dialectics to approach their own Yes/No Conflict, as it is known. There was also a panel discussion, which included Carina Paulsson, Eva Widegren, Ulf Rosenberg Bertilsson and Claes Janssen the highlighting of different conceptions of reality that the Four Rooms of Change brings to understanding. The work with the Mind Map from Day 1 was also used in this work.

Thursday afternoon was used to continue working with and on the conference theme – now with invited guest. The guests were from the healthcare sector in Finland and various companies and organizations in Sweden. The work was done in various group configurations such as stakeholder groups, mixed groups groups as well as member-guest configurations. Bringing the outside world into the User Forum Conferences for the exchange of experiences have become a hallmark and again raised the learning to another level.

Friday morning, was used to present and discuss four new power point presentations that members will be able to use in various situations for marketing and presenting the Four Rooms of Change® to clients and potential clients. The participants gave feedback and it was greatly appreciated from the team at A&L Partners. There were also discussions around the various forms of collaboration. 2013 The Four Rooms of Change® Annual User Forum
